Finding rest and losing yourself in your own world are key words which will open the door to the atelier. Many participants are often amazed at their own
creative power, especially if they have postponed this over and over again.
So if you want to come closer to yourself and you like to play with colors and shapes, then give yourself that chance. If you’re unexpectedly in a grieving process and you want to regain joy in life, you should definitely come to have a chat and to take a look in the atelier.
We begin each painting session with a short relaxing meditation which helps in this interesting process. There is definitely much attention for everyone's individual needs. Artist Jozefien Koelman is in a position to link painting techniques and materials to intuitive and spiritual charactaristics. This will get the best of a person in a creative point of view.

Many children don’t use their creative abilities enough. Even though this will offer them so much satisfaction, rest and concentration. Also the search for solutions, which often lie within easy reach, is an essential part of a creative process: "if I do it this way this time …"
Luckily the last years more and more children visit the museum and the atelier. Not only to discover free forms and play with color, but also to learn about artists from the old and contemporary art. But the most important thing is that they are kept busy and enjoy what they’re doing. This experience they will have for the rest of their lives.
There are exciting children's courses and workshops both in the atelier as in the museum ‘Land van Valkenburg’.
